Come teach with us! We are looking for a wide variety of classes for beginners and beyond.
Please submit separate proposals for each class.
Important Deadlines
September 15, 2026: Instructor Proposals Due
October 7, 2026: Accepted proposals email and contracts sent out
- If any spots remain, we will keep proposals open for a second round.
- If accepted, you will receive an email with a contract and link to e-sign and return.
October 21, 2026: Signed contract deadline
1. Instructor Information
Instructors will need to provide their name, email address, a phone number, a picture of yourself and your bio for a contract to be completed.
To complete the instructor application, you will need to provide the class title, full class description, a picture summarizing the class (if it is a spinning wheel class, include a picture of a student or yourself sitting at a spinning wheel, loom for weaving, etc), the link of the class, and classroom requirements.
2. Accepted Class Schedule & Details
If you can teach this class in multiple time slots, you will be asked to mark those that will work for you. If a class reaches the maximum number of students set by the instructor, you may have the opportunity to add an additional time slot for an additional class.
If you are a vendor, please make arrangements for someone to manage your booth while you are teaching the class. Volunteers for the festival will NOT be responsible for manning your booth while you are teaching and vendors are not allowed to close their booths while they teach.

Other: (If a class will only take 1 - 2 hours to teach, please put that under other.
Class Materials / Student Requirements: please have a materials list prepared that the students will need to purchase and bring to class, unless they are provided by you, the instructor.
Classroom Setup Needs: If your class will require electricity, access to water, additional tables or additional chairs, please provide that in the application.
3. Compensation & Payment Terms

Fee Structure: If you are providing supplies, please add that to your class fee. Instructors will receive 80% of the total student fees collected, with 20% retained by the Piney Woods Fiber Festival for facility and operational costs.

Payment Schedule: Payment will be issued on the last day of instruction prior to departure.
4. Class Minimums & Cancellation Policy
February 22, 2027, Enrollment Notification Email

Minimum Enrollment: The minimum number of registered students is set by the instructor. If enrollment is below the minimum on February 22, 2027, festival organizers will consult with the instructor regarding holding or canceling the session.

Cancellation Due to Low Enrollment: If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, all student fees will be fully refunded, and no instructor payout will be issued for that class.

Instructor Cancellation: If an instructor cancels due to emergency or illness, student fees will be refunded, unless an approved substitute instructor is arranged, upon which time, the substitute will receive the instructor payment.
5. Class Registration Deadline and Contract
Class registrations will remain open until time for the class unless an instructor responds that they would like to cancel the class if the minimum is not reached.
Contracts for accepted proposals will be emailed to the instructors on October 7, 2026 and E-Signed contracts are due by October 21, 2026 to lock in time slots and class details for public registration.
If contracts are not received back by October 21, 2026, Piney Woods Fiber Fest has the option to accept another instructor's proposal in the time slot. Students will receive a refund and no payment will be made to the instructor.
